In unforgettable senior night, wrestlers dominate in final home match
Sweeping their opponents: Varsity Boys’ and Girls’ wrestling competed against Mission Hills High School Jan. 23. Before the tournament, senior Wrestlers Dominic Dotson, Carlos Valdiviezo, Tas Storer, Aaron Klein, Armani Rodriguez, Thomas Deboer, Shane Kinsella, Ava Ebrahimi, and Ava Fodera, walked with family and friends on the mat, celebrating all they have accomplished in their time at Poway. During the match, athletes showed snake-like moves on the mat and quick problem-solving to pin opponents. The team is currently ranked 7th in the nation. Girls and Boys teams start Division I and II CIF San Diego Divisionals on Feb 14. CIF State Wrestling Championships are set for February 26-28 at Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield.
