My favorite section to write for anything but Pop Culture. I enjoy interviewing people, finding out background information, and then putting it all together. Outside of the Iliad, I’ve been playing softball for 14 years, and I’ve been on the Poway High Varsity Girls Softball team since freshman year. I also love playing basketball. I used to play when I was younger. Then this year I made Varsity and I enjoyed it. Finally, I love to go to the beach, lake, or pool. I love these places because I find them so relaxing, and I love being outside, especially in the water. My favorite quote is “Kindness always comes back.” I love this quote because I think that being kind to others, even people you don’t get along with the best, can make a positive impact on their day. Kindness is contagious, so if you’re in a good mood and kind, others will pass it on. I also feel good about myself when I give others compliments, or acts of kindness as simple as holding the door open for people. I like to see people’s faces light up and them smile. In the future, I see myself going to college to hopefully become a sports broadcaster because I naturally have a love for sports, and I love interacting and meeting new people. On the side, I might write books or have a podcast. (Class of 2026)
