Stars shine bright: The Poway Dance Project traveled to Las Vegas on Jan. 7 for the USA Classic competition between nine other California and Nevada schools. The team won the highest scoring dance of the competition and took first place in four of the five dance categories they competed in. (Top Left) The dance team does their pom routine to a mix of Spice Girls songs. (Top Right) The dance team does their “Scream” jazz dance, which took first place in its category. They will perform this dance again in Florida for the UVA Nationals in February. (Bottom) Their all-team Medium Lyrical dance, to the song “Your’s” took first place in the entire competition.
