BOYS BASEBALL
Boys Varsity Baseball is having a fantastic season with a record of 17-5 and 5-1 in league to varsity boys have been able to put it together this year for a winning season. The baseball team was able to pick up their 17th win on April 23rd beating Del Norte 15-1.
“I really feel like our chemistry this year is great, on and off the field and I think that is what is helping the team towards success,” Senior Rylan Nigro said.
The Titans are ranked 26 in California. The team has been able to perform well under pressure this season. Senior Taylor Johnson explained, “ You win some, you lose some but through hard work and dedication the team has been able to put together a good season.”
Ive been able to develop with the same team for all four years of my baseball career here at Poway, and I think it’s contributed to our success,” senior Robby Williams said.
The team has a pretty good chance at winning a championship this year. They are even with rival school Rancho Bernardo 1-1, with Poway taking the first win 4-2 on April 9th with the help of Poway’s ace Ivran Romero, as Rancho Bernardo battled to even the score on April 11 5-3.
Poway plays Rancho Bernardo one last time for the last game of the season on May 11 fans can come out to support the baseball team.
