This fall has been satisfying for the Titans, although some had a bumpy start and others were on a roll from the beginning. Several teams have winning records and are undefeated in the league, and some hope to heat up as the season comes to an end.
Girls Tennis
Girls’ tennis was unstoppable with an undefeated 6-0-1 record and 2-0-1 in league, going into their first playoff game. They end their season with a hard-fought 8-10 loss to Our Lady of Peace.
Football
After a close 32-25 loss to Torrey Pines Boys Football went into their final regular season game against Mission Hills on Oct. 31, 3-6 and 0-4 in league. After a by-week, they start play-offs on Nov. 15.
Girls Field Hockey
The team looked to break even in their Oct. 30 against La Costa Canyon but fell short. After going 9-11 on the season and 4-6 in league, they look to turn things around heading into playoffs.
Boys’ Water Polo
After winning four of their last six games, and getting ranked 50 in the state, they are 17-8 on the season and 2-2 in league. They won their Oct. 30 game against Mt. Carmel for a winning record in league. They head into CIF feeling good, winning 5 of their last 7.
Girls Volleyball
In a rebuilding year, the team has dropped their last 10 games with their last win coming on Sept 28 against Ramona with a score of 2-0. They end the season 7-24 and 0-8 in league.
Cross Country
Cross Country has done well in their past couple of meetings their most recent meet on Oct. 19 at Del Norte High School. They placed fourth overall. Capitan junior Cooper Castleberry placed first, setting a new Personal record with a time of 14.25.10 in the meet. Ally Santavicca placed fourth overall with a time of 17.29.10.
Golf
Golf stands at even with an 8-8 record on the season, coming off a rough streak dropping 4 of their last 5 games, and looking to turn things around for playoffs.
Flag Football
Flag Football has dominated, with a record of 15-2, and going undefeated in league, with a 6-0 record, finishing first. They won the final game of the season against Ramona 39-6, winning 9 of their last 10 games, and ranked in the top 70 in the state.
