Dan Barnett: Began Teaching in 1994 and has been teaching for 30 years. Favorite memory teaching? “I graduated from Poway high school in 1984, so it’s just 40 years later exactly. It’s bittersweet because I feel like I am graduating again.” How have you grown through your teaching experience? “I think now I see the more human side of things, as a new teacher, it was just teaching subjects and ideas and trying to make a student smarter, but it’s more about the personality and working with the person. I think I’ve grown more to the human side where I want to help develop good people and I think that’s the part I’ll miss the most.”

I enjoy writing about and photographing Sports. Some of my interests outside of school include watching movies, going shopping, and listening to music. In the future I see myself traveling and being an elementary school teacher. One of my favorite quotes is, “Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there’s footprints on the moon,” from Paul Brandt.
