Favorite memory teaching?
“I graduated from Poway high school in 1984, so it’s just 40 years later exactly. It’s bittersweet because I feel like I am graduating again.”
How have you grown through your teaching experience?
“I think now I see the more human side of things, as a new teacher, it was just teaching subjects and ideas and trying to make a student smarter, but it’s more about the personality and working with the person. I think I’ve grown more to the human side where I want to help develop good people and I think that's the part I’ll miss the most.”
Retiring staff reminisce on careers
As the 23-24 school year comes to an end, some staff members are saying their final goodbyes. Looking back on their over 25-year careers three staff members are leaving Poway with their lasting impact and sharing their memories.
