This winter has been bumpy for the Titans and their leagues. Many of the teams have suffered large point differential games not in their favor, losing to most of their rivals, and not placing high in their leagues. However, many teams were able to pick up the pace towards the end of their seasons.
After a win against Fallbrook on Feb. 9, Boys’ soccer ended their regular season 5-8-6 overall and 2-4-3 to place third in the Palomar League. They have 17 goals for and 23 goals against.
Their best game was their victory against Del Norte, winning 3-0. Poway’s top scorer, Ryan Cokkinis earned 5 goals throughout the season and 0.3 goals per game. Boys soccer will advance to the playoffs.
Girls soccer went 7-4-5 overall and 3-2-4 in the league, ending their regular season third in the Palomar League. They had 30 goals for and only 19 against. Their best game was their shut-out victory against La Costa Canyon, winning 4-0.
Boys basketball went 9-18 overall and 1-8 in the league. In the regular season, they went 1389 points for and 1539 points against. Their best game was against rivals Rancho Bernardo,winning 68-54.
Girls water polo ended 6-19 overall and 1-4 to place fifth in the Palomar League. They have 182 goals for and 297 goals against. Their best game was their victory against Valley Center winning 24-1.
Roller Hockey was 3-6-1 before their last game on Feb. 15. They are in fifth place in their CIF standings with 47 goals for and 48 against. The top scorer is Michael Nilson with 14 goals. Roller Hockey will advance to the playoffs.
