Recipients of the True Titan award were honored at a Drive-Through ceremony on October 29. The award was delivered to Faculty, Staff and Students who demonstrated “outstanding attitude, citizenship, engagement and excellence”. Out of 187 recipients, one third showed up for the drive-through ceremony. “We were thrilled to see approximately one-third of our recipients attend our POWAY HIGH TRUE TITAN RECOGNITION drive-thru celebration event. We are extremely thankful to Mr. Nash, Mrs. Pratt, Mr. Burks, Staff, and our PHS ASB and PC students for their time and many contributions in making our event a success. True Titan certificates not yet picked up are available in the front office.” said a PHS PTSA Representative.
The deadline for fall 2021 college applications is November 30 for the University of California, and December 4 for California State University. “UC and CSU apps are so very important so we hope as many people as possible get them turned in.” said CTE Counselor Karly Wardwell
After months of setbacks due to COVID restrictions, the PHS Sports season is slated to start on December 4, but may again be pushed back indefinitely if the risk of disease transmission increases.
