Brunch lovers no longer have to drive to Del Mar or Hillcrest for a delicious mid-morning meal.

The Blossom Cafe is now open in the Poway Promenade shopping center on Poway Road.

  From the moment I walked in the door, I was charmed by the atmosphere of the cafe. As of right now it is full of Halloween decorations and interesting lighting fixtures. The cafe even has a playroom for children and a wall of toys.

The menu had a wide range of sweet and savory items, including paninis, bubble waffles, drinks, and deserts. Most of the food items range from $5-$12, and are definitely worth what you pay for. I ordered the Fruit Bubble Waffle Ice Cream ($8.50), the Strawberry Milk Bingsu ($7.50), and the Strawberry Latte ($4).

The food came in large portion sizes and was beautifully presented. The fruit bubble waffle ice cream was delicious. The ice cream was sweet, creamy, and tasted great with the variety of fruit. The Bubble Waffle was light, airy, and very sweet. 

I also enjoyed the Strawberry Milk Bingsu. The strawberry ice cream was covered in berries and sweet strawberry sauce, topped with flakes of shaved ice whip cream. The shaved ice whip cream was delicious and a new experience for me.

Another new experience for me was trying the Strawberry Latte. It was the perfect refresher to go with the meal. The mixture of milk and strawberry syrup tastes like strawberry milk and it was full of sliced strawberries. 

These are just a few of the many interesting and delicious menu options.  Next time I am looking forward to trying the Panini Grilled Chicken Sandwich, the Bulgogi bowl, or a Buttermilk Scone with Homemade Strawberry Jam.

I will definitely be going back to the Blossom Cafe for brunch sometime. Located at 12305 Poway Road, Poway, CA 92064, it is a convenient location for Poway residents. I give the restaurant a 10/10 for it’s comforting atmosphere and fabulous food.
