There were many strong plays made by members junior Jayden Tye, junior Luke Jorgensen and senior Landen Roberts.

In league they are 1-2, and 4th place in the San Diego Section Division 1 league.
“A strength we have is that the offense is very diverse. We don’t lean on one hitter. We can set all five of our guys, and so that makes it harder for other teams to plan against us,” Varsity Coach Charlie Jackson said.
From March 27 to March 29, they got to go to Hawaii for the Hawaii Boys Volleyball Invitational, where they finished 6 out of 16.
They participate in this tournament every two years.
“A highlight of mine for our season was our trip to Hawaii. It let me get to know a lot of my teammates outside of just on the court,” sophomore Alasdair Taylor said.
They demolished Kalani High School, 2-0 on March 27, and on March 28, they played Moanalua High School, but lost 2-1.
“A goal for our team is to be a big family that can build each other up when things get hard and just keep pushing through,” senior Landen Roberts said.
They play rival Rancho Bernardo High School today, April 4, and their next home game is on April 10 against Torrey Pines.

My favorite section to write for is Sports because I’ve played sports my whole life, and it’s fun to know what’s going on in the Athletic program here at Poway. Outside of the Iliad, I’ve been cheering for eight years and now do competitive cheer. I am this year’s captain Of Poway Elite Cheer a Non-Affiliated cheer program. I love to go to Belmont Park with my friends and hang out at the beach. I plan on going to Southwestern Community College to become an ultrasonography technician or someone in Sports Marketing. My favorite section to write for is sports because it helps me learn about different teams and it gives me a chance to watch how they are played in real life. Outside of the Iliad, I have always had a passion for ice skating and have been skating most of my life. I like hanging out with my friends and going to amusement parks. In the future, I would like to do something with animals. (Class of 2027)
