Holiday lights and sights around town

Walking in a winter wonderland: As the chilly air begins to weave its way through Poway’s busy streets, residents of the town string up fairy lights and inflatable Santa Clauses, decorating their yards as a reminder to spread holiday cheer. From Poway’s Candy Cane Lane to ‘Christmas in the Park’ hosted in Old Poway Park, the city is never short on sight-seeing opportunities. Candy Cane Lane is located on Hickory street and is perfect for either driving around the neighborhood or parking and walking around. Senior Nateal Jackson poses with the lights in a front yard. Families walk through the bunches of crowd, admiring the sheer dedication of these spectacles. Old Poway Park’s Christmas tradition includes many activities; caroling, train rides, and even a visit from Santa Claus. With events like these, it is nearly impossible to avoid the feeling of holiday spirit here in Poway.
