Taylor Swiftly drops ‘Red’ again
Taylor Swift announced in June that she would be releasing a re-recording of her 2012 album Red. Swift published Red (Taylor’s Version) on Nov. 12, and her fans could not get enough.
One of her songs, “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)(Taylor’s Version)(From The Vault)” was trending third on the top 10 hits on Spotify.
Swift made a short film for the song, and following its debut, “All Too Well” became a popular favorite not only for her fans but for her as well. There is a five minute version of the song as well as the ten minute version. Both are Taylor’s Version.
Almost immediately after releasing the album, Swift was invited on Late Night with Seth Meyers where she expressed how much of a relief this album was, “It’s really nice to be able to put this album out and not be sad, not be taking breaks in between interviews to cry. I’m telling you, it’s much better this way,” Swift said during the interview.
Swift’s “Red” is the second re-release Swift has done, and it will not be the last. Swift re-released “Fearless” in April, and she had plans to release “Taylor’s Version” of her other albums as well.
Swift re-released these songs because she felt as though her songs weren’t her own anymore. By re-releasing and recording this album she feels like it is hers again. “’Red’ is about to be mine again, but it has always been ours,” Swift wrote to her fans on Twitter.
Taylor Swift was third in my top five artists I have listened to this year on Spotify.
My favorite song from her album is “Message In A Bottle (Taylor’s Version)” because of the beat and lyrics. My favorite line in the song is “but time moves faster, replaying your laughter.” It’s my favorite line because it reminds me of all the fun memories I have with my friends.
Unfortunately, Swift will not be going on tour anytime soon. Swifties aren’t sure why, but they hope she will be back in 2022.
