Get Egg-cited and come on down to Breakfast Republic to devour Banana Split French Toast, Jurassic Pork, or the Shrimp and Ricotta Frittata! Breakfast Republic is the perfect place for going out to breakfast or lunch. It has a wide variety of delicious and healthy breakfast items.

If you don’t see what you want on the menu, they will customize anything to your liking. 

  From Omelets to Pancakes and everything in between, their menu will make your mouth water.

My favorite is the California Breakfast Burrito. Its ingredients include eggs, skirt steak, pico de gallo, guacamole, potatoes, bacon, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. It is served along with sides of Mexican rice, salsa, and black beans, but I opted for a side of fresh fruit instead. 

The Burrito made my stomach happy and every bite I took made me want more. 

Another popular item on the menu is The S’mores French Toast, it is made of a graham cracker crust sprinkled with toasted marshmallows and chocolate sauce. It is served on the signature Breakfast Republic plate that includes the title of the restaurant and a picture of two hands holding your food. Dessert for breakfast? That is a win!!!

Breakfast Republic also takes a unique spin on Avocado Toast. Theirs is served on charcoal sourdough bread, filled with smashed avocado, pomegranate seeds, and basil, topped with strawberries, and drizzled in balsamic vinegar. The Strawberries offer a sweet taste that makes this avocado toast one of the best around.

Breakfast Republic doesn’t just have amazing food, but, they also have amazing drinks such as Ginger and Lavender Peach Kombucha, and they have all kinds of specialty lattes that can satisfy any discerning taste.

My personal favorite drink is the Breakfast Republic Latte made with chai, vanilla, and mocha. This latte helps you become energized and provides a delightful blend few can resist. 

Breakfast Republic has been committed to serving San Diego customers throughout the pandemic on their beautiful outside patio. They have locations in North Park, Liberty Station, Encinitas, East Village, Ocean Beach, Carmel Valley, Pacific Beach, and Mission Valley. In fact, they have remained open throughout the stay-at-home order for both indoor and outdoor dining. 

Many customers were pleased that they were granted the ability to dine at their favorite place even when every restaurant around was ordered to shut down. 

The ambiance of the restaurant is another reason why it is one of San Diego’s best restaurants. The restaurant is filled with beautiful greenery with the words “Run Cock Run,” and they also have cool chairs that are in the shape of cracked eggs.

There are ten Breakfast Republic locations, all of them in California, and all but two are located right in the heart of San Diego.

The closest location to Poway is in Carmel Valley, just 20 minutes away. It is located in the Pacific Highlands Ranch Center right out the 56 at 6025 Village Way.

It is best to dine early in the morning or in the early afternoon because Breakfast Republic is typically packed in the mid-morning. Since they don’t take reservations, plan on the possibility of a wait.

But, let me tell you, the wait is worth it!

The restaurant in Carmel Valley is located in a beautiful center surrounded by amazing stores, fountains, and fire pits, so you have plenty to do and look at while you wait!
