With 2021 rapidly approaching, there may be only a few weeks left to rewatch some of your favorite shows before they leave Netflix.

Two of the most notable television shows leaving Jan. 1are “Gossip Girl” and “The Office”. 

These are two of the most popular shows on Netflix, and they will definitely be missed. “It’ll be sad not being able to go back to rewatch episodes of ‘The Office’ and ‘Gossip Girl’ because those are comfort shows that are fun to rewatch,” senior Tess Prutow said. 

Some of the most notable movies leaving Netflix are all of the Back to The Future movies, the famous romantic comedy The Notebook, Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom, and a great movie to watch this December: How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

“I am so sad that ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas’ is leaving because it is a family tradition for me to watch it every year,” senior Maria Castiglione said.

While it is sad that these great movies and shows are leaving, there will also be lots of new arrivals in 2021.

The popular Netflix original shows You, Sex Education, and Cobra Kai are all returning with a season three sometime next year (the exact dates have not been released yet). Also, the Netflix original series Atypical will offer a season four in 2021.

Some e movies coming to Netflix in 2021 include The Kissing Booth 3 and 17 Again, starring Zach Efron.

Netflix is also introducing many new originals in 2021 including We Can Be Heroes, directed by Robert Rodriguez who is known for directing the popular movie Spy Kids.
