Some Titans spent winter break across the Atlantic ocean, some went south to Mexico, and some stayed right here in Poway to enjoy the San Diego weather.

“I went on a cruise to the Mediterranean and visited eight cities in Europe over a span of two weeks. We stopped in Venice, Croatia, Montenegro, Livorno, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome, and France,” senior Leo Sosa said. “I’d have to say my favorite place was either Venice or France.”

Junior Christian Enkerlin stayed closer to California for a more tropical vacation.

“I went to Guadalajara and Manzillo, Mexico. The best part was getting to spend time at the beach with my family for thirteen whole days,” Enkerlin said.

Others stayed more local. Many Titans found fun things to do around Poway, such as going ice skating or doing something as simple as going to get boba with friends.

“We went to Hotel Del for the Christmas festivities and to check out the ice rink,” junior Aaron Olitoquit said.

Some students hit the water, even with the cooler winter winds.

“I didn’t travel anywhere, but I went to the beach a lot to go surfing over winter break, which was still pretty fun,” senior, Colby Crawford said.

Many others like Crawford didn’t travel far, but decided to just enjoy the brain break.

“It was just super nice and relaxing to have a break from school and all the homework. I got to catch up on a lot of sleep and just got to chill with friends,” junior Claire Schoon said.
