In an explosive show at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego on Feb. 4, Houston-born rap and recording artist Travis Scott performed part of the second leg of his Astroworld: Wish You Were Here Tour.

The tour for Scott’s third studio album ASTROWORLD was announced to kick off in November 2018 in Baltimore, Maryland, and conclude in Mar. 2019 in Charlotte,  North Carolina.

Scott’s third concert tour, preceded by his breakout Rodeo Tour and the Birds Eyes View Tour,  features opening performances and acts by Trippie Redd, Sheck Wes, and Gunna.

Opening at the Pechanga for Scott on the 4th was Sheck Wes, performing songs off his debut 2018 album MUDBOY,featuring singles such as “Live Sheck Wes” and “Mo Bamba”.

After Wes’s energetic performance, Scott took over the stage, opening the concert with the hit song “Way Back”, off his 2016 album ‘Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight,’ followed by the introduction track “Stargazing” off Scott’s third studio album.

Accompanied by fireworks and a real working roller coaster, Scott’s preformance was filled with energy and exhilaration the whole way through. Throughout the relatively short show (about an hour and a half total) Scott performed songs spanning his entire discography, including singles off the Days Before Rodeo EP.

Highlights of the show included in psychedelic and arena spanning light shows during more exciting songs off ASTROWORLD such as STOP TRYING TO BE GOD and SKELETONS. Scotts earlier hits were also given extreme presence throughout the show, with Antidote and goosebumps performed back to back. Scott’s 2018-2019 hit single SICKO MODE was also held till the end of the show, and used as an electrifying and definite finisher to a wild monumental show.

Overall the show exceeded expectations and proved to be an exciting and blood pumping experience for everyone in attendance, and for many Travis Scott fans won’t be the last tour for the Houston Rapper.
