The Titans Baseball team is rolling in strong as ever. With talented players like Taylor Johnson Poway is looking to have quite the stellar season. Johnson is currently committed to play baseball for LMU starting next fall. Taylor announced his commitment sophomore year and has been a strong attribute for the past four years on the squad. With a big upset win against Cathedral Catholicon the 25th of February, Poway is looking to be top five in San Diego.
“Our team is looking very strong, mainly because of our chemistry as a whole. we all are getting better every day with focused practices,” senior Taylor Johnson said.
Taylor has interests in economics or business as a future major in college and looks to play catcher or center field.
This year’s top hitters are senior Taylor Johnson, junior Ivran Romero, senior Rylan Nigro, senior Robby Williams and senior Kyle Nevin.
The season is just getting started and is looking to be a memorable one with Johnson as one of the Titans’ captains.
“I’m really looking forward to this season because our program is very strong this year and our players are hungry for the ship,” Senior Rylan Nigro said.
The Titans won league for last year with Del Norte, West View, Ramona, Rancho Bernardo and Mt. Carmel in competition.
Poway has a record of 2-2 at the beginning of a long season.
