Bumblebee movie review

NATALIE JOHNSTON/ Staff Writer

Bumblebee was fantastic. When the movie first starts, it opens with Hailee Steinfeld, the main character Charlie Watson, and how her current life is, without a car, how work is and what her home life is like. She finally gets a car and little did she know she would be going on adventures, fighting robots and saving the world with her car.

Some of the actors include: Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Dylan O’brien, Gracie Dzienny and Peter Cullen. Each actor played their part perfectly. The director, Travis Knight, did a very good job at incorporating comedy as well. I also love how the movie keeps you locked in: something big will happen and it has you on the edge of your seat, and then they keep you hooked by not immediately telling you what’s coming, so when it happens you least expect it and the feeling of the suspense and thrill felt amazing. For example, When she first gets her car and she was fixing it, then it turned into a robot. You definitely will be on the edge of your feet.

This movie received great ratings and in my opinion has the perfect actors for each part. Google users gave Bumblebee a 94% rating, Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 92%, and IMDb gave it a 7.5 out of 10 rating.

All of the actors are great at knowing how to keep people interested by having comedy but also leaving you with suspense. Bumblebee definitely lives up to the ratings it received. You can find Bumblebee in theaters AMC and Edwards Cinema for a few more weeks.
